Supplier Verification

How to verify a cosmetics manufacturer in China before you sign.

A licence number alone is not enough. Match the legal entity, address, permitted scope, actual line and contract responsibility.

1. Match the legal entity across every document

The company name on the business licence, production licence, quotation, contract, payment account and invoice should be consistent or the relationship should be formally explained.

  • Full Chinese legal name
  • Unified social credit code
  • Legal representative and registered status
  • Contracting, payment and invoicing entity

2. Inspect the current production licence, not a marketing image

Check the licence number, holder, production address, permitted scope and validity. Ask for a current original or formal scan and record the verification date.

OULAN's current public licence record

OULAN checked the current electronic production licence fields on 11 August 2026. The legal representative recorded on the licence is Chen Weige. Chen Weike is OULAN's public founder, chairman and brand representative; the two are brothers and are different people.

  • Legal entity: Guangzhou Oulan Cosmetics Co., Ltd.
  • Unified social credit code: 91440101MA59Q5CF99
  • Cosmetics production licence: 粤妆20180156
  • Issued: 6 May 2024; valid through: 5 May 2029
  • Production address: Floors 1-3, Building 2, No. 8-1 Xinbei Road, Baiyun District, Guangzhou
  • Permitted units: general liquids, creams/emulsions and powders, with the detailed subcategories shown on the public verification page

3. Match the target product to the actual manufacturing line

A general cosmetics licence does not prove that every dosage form or process is suitable. Verify the equipment, filling and packaging environment, cleaning controls, batch records and sample-retention process for the product you intend to make.

4. Put compliance and quality responsibilities into the contract

Define formula ownership, filing responsibility, claims review, testing cost, packaging responsibility, acceptance criteria, deviation handling, lead time and change control.

Frequently asked questions

Is a business licence enough for cosmetics manufacturing?

No. Cosmetics production is subject to specific production licensing and continuing quality-management requirements.

Can one licence cover every skincare product?

Do not assume so. Verify the permitted scope, actual equipment and process capability for the target product and dosage form.
